CCW Enchantment Course (Based off of Combat Focus Shooting Program).  I took this class 7/20/14.

Defensive Pistol Education at it's best.  Clear, concise, intense and focused class, given by an exceptional instructor(s).  Individual attention along with group focused lectures, interspersed throughout the day,  and debriefing afterwards,  insures that you will learn more in  this class than any other you might have taken.  (I know).  

Mandy and Stan did an excellent job of instructing and pointing out flaws along with suggestions to improve my understanding of defensive shooting techniques.  This class is not for babies.  Come prepared and ready to work.

My husband and I just purchased guns for the first time. My husband has shot before, years ago, but I have never. I didn't want guns in the house and not be able to shoot them. I also wanted to get proper instruction for the use of the gun and safety.
Mandy came highly recommend! She was an excellent instructor!  She really makes you feel comfortable, even when I was making the same mistake over and over, she kept encouraging me. Instructing the right way of doing things over and over. Thank God she has patients! By the end of the lesson I felt a 1000 times better. Not to mention, It was fun!!!

I highly recommend instruction with GunLady.  Today I had my first ever experience firing a handgun.  I was so glad I had the GunLady buy my side.  She instructed based on my skill level.  She could sense that I was nervous and put my anxiety at ease.  I appreciated that she went at my pace always making sure I was within my comfort zone.  Safety was first and foremost.   Mandy is patient and professional.  I went to the range thinking this would be the only time I would ever go shooting.  Thanks to GunLady I can't wait to go shooting again.

I was just at Front Site in Nevada a few weeks ago and learned a ton. I took a lesson from Mandy today and in just a few hours this professional brought it all together real world and am shooting better than ever. My wife had never handled as much as a cap gun let alone a full frame 9mm. After one lesson, she was doing great and better yet having a blast. Gun Lady is very down to earth, realistic and loves what she is doing. You won't find a better firearms instructor around. We both are looking forward to other classes in the future.

I just completed the CCW/handbag conceal class. EXCELLENT!!! Very reasonable price, lots of individual hands-on practice, and a nice smaller class to help with individual skill improvement.
Most important is that the extra attention allows the student to excel and pass the final exam with confidence.

I highly recommend The Gunlady1911. I wanted to feel more comfortable using my firearms in cowboy mounted shooting but also with the use of live ammo in case I ever feel the need to defend my home. Mandy was awesome with no pressure and totally comfortable with my skill level. Plus it was fun and I can't wait for my next practice session. Highly recommend her.

Not much to add to the reviews already here but they are ALL correct.  Mandy is the consummate professional yet puts you at ease and is very patient.  I've had one class room session and two private sessions (different firearms) with Mandy and I wouldn't go anywhere else.  She is first and foremost PROFESSIONAL, encouraging, thoughtful, patient (yes I already said that but it needs repeating) and willing to work with you on what you want and need.  She is schedule flexible and just a really nice lady to boot!

My wife and I chose Mandy for our renewal based on Yelp. We are so glad we did. 
The difference in instruction was huge verses our original class. 
Previous classes worked on making sure our bullets hit the circle on the target with a little mumbo jumbo thrown in about laws and "stories".
Mandy's class focused on the "Real World" of Concealed Carry Weapons...showing and demonstrating how to protect our lives and the lives of those close to us. 
Mandy's class focused on the realism of using your concealed weapon effectively by putting you in the moment of attack. 
It was practical and personal with individual attention to detail.

Awesome lesson yesterday. I feel so much safer knowing how to handle both our weapons safely. Of particular value was the clarifying of laws pertaining to barricade vs just get them.  The importance of making that. 911 call, what to say, what to do while getting to that point...we came home and started evaluating our plans!  No trespass signs going up...motion detector lights...and def more trigger time !  Thanks Mandy...see you soon!

My CCW training with Mandy was excellent! About 80% of the course was hands-on "trigger time" with personal instruction. Not only is Mandy experienced and professional, she is a good teacher. She thorough explained the what, how and why of every movement. By learning the safest, most efficient, and most effective way to use my weapon in a self-defense situation, I have more confidence in my ability to do so if necessary. I highly recommend her class!

Where do I begin? Let's start with Awesome! Simply, Awesome! Not only was I impressed with the professionalism with which Mandy conducted the "Introduction to Handguns" class, but the genuine compassion she displayed for her students was superb. If you're new to the world of firearms as I was this is the best instructor you could ask for. Most importantly, she's kind and AFFORDABLE!!!

Just finished a great 2 day ccw class with Mandy. I was drawn to her class because she claimed It was 80% hands on and i knew she had  a lot of experience. She did not disappoint, we got the opportunity to run a lot of rounds through our guns and she taught us a lot of  "Real World" fundamentals. The class was a perfect size so each individual student got plenty of one - on - one time from Mandy If they had any issues or questions.  Her personality and teaching style made It entertaining for all. I would definitely recommend Mandy's ccw class and I am looking forward to my next stage of training with gunlady1911.

My wife and I took a handgun orientation/safety class with Mandy a year ago and felt very comfortable with her hands-on, no nonsense style of instruction. When it was time for our CCW class there was no question who we would choose. Mandy made sure we knew not only the rules, but the responsibilities and the thought process needed to safely carry a weapon. During our two day class we fired enough rounds to feel comfortable and confident. We were coached through real world scenarios to sharpen our decision making skills when and why to draw a weapon. Once again, I took 4 hours of training with GunLady 1911. This time, I brought my wife out as well. As always, she is the best trainer I've had. Not only does she do the hands on training, she explains the how and the why. She makes everyone feel comfortable, has a keen eye and a sharp wit. She really makes the training fun and the time really flies! I'll be back soon!

As a wife (with a husband who travels often) and a young child, I have come to the realization that learning to properly operate and successfully shooting a hand gun in order to protect my family has become paramount due to our current economic climate in the state of California and more and more paroles being released on the street due to such bills as AB 109. Having very little or no exposure to shooting during my life- I found the task a little bit overwhelming. The first time I went to shoot at an indoor range- I left shaking and in tears. I couldn't get my hands to operate the slide and was terrified by the large explosion. And while my husband was extremely patient I quickly realized he didn't understand the struggles that I was having as a female. I was so very fortunate to meet Mandy Autrey and spend a few hours with her one on one. She showed me techniques on how to "push" the slide and re-position my hands. She was extremely patient and explained how the gun worked and why. After a brief session, I was no longer fearful of the gun exploding in my hands or shooting myself by accident for that matter. She put me completely at ease. In addition, I rented a few of her guns so I could determine which of several different guns felt better. I now know that I have the ability to pull and fire the gun and am very confident in hitting my target. Mandy is incredibly passionate about what she does and it was an honor to learn from her.
